I haven't launched yet.. but I've been following all launches for a couple of weeks, and I get the feeling that sometimes the number of upvotes is not correlated by the quality/novelty of the product, but with how active and big the team behind the product is and how much effort they put into posting and linking the product in every single community on the Internet.
What do you think?
P.S. I followed your launch, and in your case, it's a great product :D

I agree with Gabrielle. It seems that the more effort you put into finding and inviting upvoters, the better your results are.
