I close out all my work tasks and projects before the new year hits. Something about starting the year with a totally clean slate and fresh to-do list. πŸ—“οΈ Then on New Year's Day I take some time to reflect, set intentions, and plan out my goals for the next 12 months. πŸŽ‰ Always feels great to kick things off on the right foot! πŸ’ͺ

Launching soon!
Most people count down to midnight - I count down browser tabs. My New Year's tradition is closing every single tab I've kept open 'just in case.' Weirdly satisfying way to start fresh.
@tjlarkin There's something so satisfying about starting the year with a clean slate both in life and in browser tabs. Might steal this tradition for next year!

Cooking Hoppin' John, a dish featuring back-eyed peas. It's a regional dish in the US--it's supposed to be lucky. πŸ€

Make sure to spend the last few minutes of the old year reflecting on the good moments
@vincent_banks Reflecting on the good moments is such a meaningful way to close the year. It's like a little highlight reel before stepping into the new one.

On New Year Day, I make sure to eat something sweet, like a dessert, as I’ve heard it brings good luck for the year ahead.
@grace__kelly That's such a sweet tradition literally! 🍰
