    MEDDPICC is a sales methodology that helps sales teams understand customer needs and navigate the sales cycle. MEDDPICC can help sales teams qualify deals efficiently and consistently, and can boost close rates by preventing misaligned deals from progressing too far down the sales pipeline. It can also help sellers increase profits, revenue, and sales forecast accuracy, while reducing costs by disqualifying deals early on. It's an acronym that stands for: Metrics Measurable results that a solution can deliver, and how the prospect measures success. Economic Buyer The person or team that has the authority to make purchasing decisions. Decision Criteria The criteria that the buyer will use to evaluate solutions. Decision Process The steps the buyer takes to go from evaluation to decision. Paper Process Legal and administrative hurdles that need to be overcome. Identify Pain The customer's pain points. Champion An influencer within the organization who can promote the solution internally. Competition Any person, vendor, or initiative that's competing for the same resources or funds.

It was originally created in the late '80s as an Enterprise Software Sales methodology, but I've totally updated it for 2024 to explain "sales green light conditions" that make your deal more likely to close.
