Inbound must work better because the customer came after researching, outbounds will choose you as an option and will leave you if they get anything better.

Outbound can work well for B2B products, but most people don't take the time and care to craft messaging that starts with building a relationship. I also think outbound can work if your strategy is to engage thought leaders/tastemakers that intro you to their larger audience.
