Founder Mode vs. Manager Mode?

This topic has been picking up some steam on X lately. Let's discuss about it here.
Paul Graham (https://paulgraham.com/foundermode.html) outlines two distinct ways to run a company:
- Founder Mode
- Manager Mode
Founder mode is less understood but can offer more direct involvement, while manager mode relies on delegation and established business practices.
Founder mode breaks traditional management rules and could drive more innovation, but it raises questions:
• Is founder mode sustainable as a company grows?
• Does it suit every industry?
• Can it outperform traditional management long-term?
What are your thoughts? Many of you are founders and/or makers—do you see yourself being in Founder Mode at all times, or would you see yourself switching to Manager Mode at some point?

Founder mode works great when you are starting, but will have to transition to manager mode as it grows, the time and stage may be different for each company
