3 Curious Facts about Leonardo da Vinci’s journals

I want to recall my last post in which I asked you about writing for your inner selves. Regardless of your answers, I mentioned back in this post that Leonardo da Vinci had numerous notebooks/journals containing a meaningful part of his whole intellect. I made some research and I found some interesting facts and ideas that I want to share with you, so you might recover the passion or interest in writing down your thoughts. Sooo, let’s move on! 1. Left-handed and inverted writing Why would he do that!? Privacy, audacity, personal touch maybe…? We’ll never know, indeed, but is just wonderful how he seriously built a space to portray his complex mind. Leo, born in 1452 and responsible for producing over “20,000 to 28,000 pages of notes and sketches throughout his life”, was left-handed and used to rehearse *mirror writing,* often called a writing technique and sometimes related to atypical neural pathways but these are just different approaches. ⭐ I’m buying the idea that he used to write this way as a cyphering method to protect his intellectual properties. It's difficult to compare him with him because he was a natural genius. 2. Tidiness is not important all the time Another observation of Da Vinci’s Journals is that he used to mix structures when writing down sketches and mere ideas. While some notes were “hasty and filled with notes, others were carefully drawn and clean.” The very only common thing I might have with Leo 🤣 Oh, and he limited his ideas to one single page, kind of tight. 3. Bill Gates spent US$ 30M to have a collection of these! Yes, 30 million it’s a fortune but let’s keep it honest, if I had the money, I’d buy them too!
