I've created partnerships with reputable lenders to assist CEOs and Founders to close the cash gap many of us face in scaling our businesses.
It's a change of pace to meet owners where they are in finding capital to grow, but the experience has changed my mind these last few weeks.
I pivoted from my previous plans to offer media solutions to lending 70% of my time.

New schedules? Yes.
Current schedule? No.
New schedules require sleep adjustments, travel times, and ETAs. It's easier to remove activities than add.
Do you find it hard to stick to a schedule?

Baking is therapeutic.
It's more of a skill I picked up after reading "Cook'd".

My wife helps me stay on my toes. If I'm lazy, she's there to scold me. If I'm nervous, she eliminates the fear with her confidence. When the kids are negotiating their wants, she intervenes. π

I'm leaving doubt and self-consciousness in 2022. I take humility and curiosity in each moment.

"Titan" by Ron Chernow and "Obvious Adams" by Uppergraft.
"Titan" is about John D. Rockefeller. "Obvious Adams" author is unknown to most of us.
I read these books once a year to ground myself.

My mother. She loved me so much I tried to rent her to neighborhood kids that lacked home training.

Neither. My work involves use of AI for automation to increase efficiency. On the other hand, misuse for malicious hackers is the biggest problem I see right now. AI can create malicious codes and phishing emails... but I remain optimistic.

LinkedIn. I joined back in the day when you had to get an invitation to join the platform... relationships mattered more than anything. Now, random people can send connection requests without being in your group or knowing your personal email.
If LinkedIn had a face-lift like Twitter, I'd stick with it as my only platform.
If you could use only 1 social media for the rest of your life, which would it be? π

3am wake up, shower, and tea. By 4am, I'm wide awake and energized. Freewriting in my journal to plan my day. Wake the kids up at 5:30-5:35am for school. 6:35 am drop off. Tell an ongoing story while we wait for the teachers to open the school. Turn on Otter for the drive back home and start on ideas I reviewed the night before.
How do you start your work day?

Music.
I have listened and studied different genres for years, but spoken word beats them all.
Spoken word is music without a catchy chorus or ridiculous beat. It's just you, your listeners, and a smooth moment of synergy.
And after you get your first head nod or shout --- it's addicting!
