Speaking about aspects that make you follow somebody, what convinces you to give them a follow?
For me, this is the list:
✅ I know that person IRL and spent some time with him/her
✅ The content is valuable/interesting
✅ The content is funny
✅ We share the same or similar values

They are mind viruses without needing to be loud. Thats when I hit the button. Usually start with NOno nonono, okay, why do I still think about this? okay something there.

@sentry_co that sounds like a gut feeling :)
@busmark_w_nika You become who you surround your self with right? So my thinking is that, the default mode is to dig your self deeper and deeper into echo chambers. So I try to resist that. And also like, if people are loud without really having anything to say, well then you too become loud. I guess thats why me and X isnt working out 😅 there are other places. Sanctuaries with amazing people.

@sentry_co everybody should stick to things that she/he is good at and grow that way – the other things are "side stuff". The rest will shape into some state. :)
@busmark_w_nika Yeah. So that's the decider. Will following this new person have some kind of impact on my life-path. Positive or negative 😅 Life-paths are so sensitive. one small push from a butterfly and you end up in the completely different state in the end
For me, it is mainly "The content is valuable/interesting". And if it is funny, it's a great reason too - I love to laugh! [Mostly at myself...]

It depends on the platform. On PH, for example, I follow anyone who doesn’t seem like a bot (why not). On Twitter, I follow those with interesting posts. And so on.
