Do you design a website according to what's best for your customers, prospects and users, OR what the CEO/boss thinks is gonna look good?
How do you decide?

The users should always come first because they are the ones using it every day. Next, consider the team that builds and updates the site. Lastly, think about what the management or CEO wants. We need to make sure we listen to everyone involved but still focus on what's best for the users.
