Usually just my 🧠 for ideation but recently been playing with ChatGPT and Midjourney to brainstorm content ideas and visualize concepts. Also heard good things about tools like Jasper.ai and Copy.ai for content generation but haven't tried em myself yet. Curious what others are using too!

@samuelparker I've messed around with Jasper and Copy - I still use GPT at nearly every stage of my workflow. Claude is really interesting and theres a platform called https://www.perplexity.ai/ and their UI is super slick. We've implemented a few of them into our platform on the testing side and its really neat to see how these LLMs can help ideation in general.

I find BuzzSumo super helpful for generating content ideas. It lets you see the most shared content for any keyword or domain. Google Trends is also great for identifying trending topics in your niche. Recently started playing with ChatGPT to brainstorm angles and outlines too - pretty impressed so far! 🤖✍️

@michaelturner I just checked out Buzz Sumo - what is the cost profile for that app (noticed they have a 7 day trial that I will likely check out) Yea - its hard to top GPT at the moment - couldn't agree more.

I enjoy using Reddit to explore niche questions and gather inspiration. Once I have some ideas, I input them into ChatGPT to brainstorm topic ideas and generate outlines. However, when it comes to producing concrete content, it requires us to do thorough research and in-depth investigation.

@dzaitzow Yes, we have a structured process that starts with defining objectives and continues through to implement. Tools like Google Optimize are frequently used to experiment and determine which content is more effective.

The big AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude can be helpful for expanding and iterating on ideas (ditto for SEO research tools and keyword finders) but for me, real genuine content ideation is best done by a person or team who's an expert on the given topic. What I usually do with my teams is keep a running list in a repository in Asana or Notion or even a Google Doc and when building out a content calender revisit the list to find inspiration. Another good source to add to the list is being obsessed with reading user reviews and things like comments on social media. This is a great way to find common questions that can be answered in the form of content.

Recently, I was introduced to an AI tool called DeepSeek. I gave it a try by inputting some simple ideas using its "deep thinking" mode, and it effortlessly generated fully structured content in no time. It was truly impressive!

@feliciana_liu really interesting - Open Source LLM built by a company based out of China. Im curious how this competes with GPT but I just messed around with the Deep Seek mode and the thought process is really neat to see post input.

If you already have a working blog or social media, it's nice to analyze what's gotten the most traction in the past and double down on that. Otherwise, I like using Semrush to see what ranks for keywords in my niche.

@dan_gower Interesting! Yea I hear a lot of good things about Semrush! Cost effective Key Search tends to do the job on my side but If its in the budget / if you need more niche / comprehensive data - probably a much better tool.

sometimes it’s as easy as pen and paper and mind-mapping; tools can be amazing to complete that ideation but in my experience AI can also create a lot of noise if used right from the start. I usually take the time to think on my own, write things down, sometimes it’s surprising what can come out of it
