Launching lean is the way to go! When I started my SaaS, I focused on leveraging free tools like Figma for design, Notion for documentation, and even AI for content creation to keep costs down. Handled most of the coding myself too. It forces you to be super resourceful and prioritize only the essentials to get your MVP out the door. @lilymaeanderson +1 for Figma and for launching lean. I'm using Resend for transactional emails in my SaaS and they have a free plan. Far simpler than having to setup and manage an SMTP server. However I do plan to switch to paid version once traffic increases.

I helped couple of companies to start from the scratch, with a very minimal budget. Usually, when you just started, and do not know whether the strategy will work, you need to start with a small budget but show some results early on. So I recommend to focus on one ICP, with one product offer, for one marketing channel. Get first feedback -> make updates if needed -> get first results -> and then scale to more offers for the same ICP -> Then test other channels -> And then move other ICPs.

I have built several product working with friends in our spare time but we never dared to go full steam with launching these products into market and always thought of them as passion projects. Now finally I am all as an entrepreneur with my current product Rava AI, building an end to end marketing for startups and SMBs. Hiring engineers in india was one of the biggest budget saver. Keeping a lean team definitely help but also tools like APP SUMO where I can buy life time deals on products have been a time saver. I use every resource possible from cloud credits, CRM credits available for startups so far to build our company.
