for updates i prefer- content images and videos to keep in touch DM's

Text, because there are many situations, I can't watch a video or listen to a voice message.

Text and video both are subjective, therefore possibly some people like video interaction, and some like text interaction. I guess both options would be feasible for engaging most of the audience.
