Hey there, friends who have previously launched on Product Hunt!
I've got a question: what's the typical peak traffic time on launch day? I'm gearing up to launch my first product, and I want to make sure I have the technical support in place for that day. Any suggestions?

Short answer: zero to millions. Depends on the product. If it's something that appeals to a lot of people and it's a successful launch. then very high. Also remember it's not just producthunt. if it's never been launched before then it can trend on HN, DN, Reddit, Twitter, linkedin etc etc. If it tanks and it appeals to a niche then very low. Your milage may vary.

@sentry_co also remember that PH visitors vary from different countries, thus different timezones. You won't be able to predict the traffic, especially if your product ends up appealing to people from a specific region.

@florian_pranata_hidayat ITs very hard to predict yes. Usually goes up like a hockey stick then down. Then you get the long tail. So prep for that. And try to keep the long tail to not go to zero. 😅

In my experience, the morning hours (PST) are crucial as that's when most Product Hunters are active. But also consider the geographical distribution of your target audience. It's a good idea to have your tech support ready for the entire day!
