1. Collect your audience from Twitter and build a base and little following, before launch. 2. Use the product hunt discussion section to promote your product Connect im comments and let others know how your product can help them. 3. Use paid ads on Twitter & LinkedIn to cater for sales.
1. Start building a community through various channels like LN, Reddit, Twitter, Fb well in advance. 2. Engage with audience and express support and help. This way you make sure people will be there to support you on your launch day. 3. Try to engage with people who are very active here, their support can help your launch!

@sandradjajic So its important to have a following outside of product hunt? I thought part of the reason for using this service would be to build the following here.
@blissinvestor Followers that are PH users of course. The thing is that it's easier to build a community on TW or LN, people have a chance to get to know you and your product better:) Building following here is also important, you do it by actively engaging in discussions, replying to comments, engaging in other words. But diversifying is always a key:)

@sandradjajic Diversification often takes more resources, so less time spent on here while I handle time spent on TW and LN. I am now on TW with my new project but I see that more as customer service. People on TW aren't very focussed i find and LN is full of people spamming all the time looking for business. But I will give them a go anyway.
