As far as I know it's of no use.

It's just a way to weed out the bots. Bots are not great at collecting points.

@grant_call Bots are generic. Points are rewarded through genuine participation, and given by makers.

they're kinda like street cred. they show how active and helpful you are in the community. posting cool stuff, upvoting, commenting - it all racks up points. it's not just about bragging rights. high points can mean more visibility. plus, they're a quick way to see who's really engaged and who's new. what's your take on the points system? just for fun, or more meaningful?

@shajedulkarim_ I heard before that points can affect the weight of upvotes, influencing product rankings. Not sure if it's true or not.

In the context of pH (potential hydrogen) in chemistry, points typically refer to units on the pH scale. The pH scale measures the acidity or alkalinity of a solution and ranges from 0 to 14, with 7 being neutral. The uses of points on the pH scale are crucial for understanding and characterizing the nature of different substances. A lower pH indicates acidity, while a higher pH signifies alkalinity. This information is vital in various fields, such as chemistry, biology, and environmental science. For instance, it helps researchers and scientists assess the suitability of a solution for biological processes, determine the corrosiveness of substances, and understand the environmental impact of certain materials. pH points play a fundamental role in maintaining balance and stability in chemical reactions and biological systems.
