👥 What are the best platforms for creating communities?

I now mean something more "closed".

Have seen people creating private WA Groups, Twitter, Signal or Telegram groups.

What is the best platform for creating a "closed" community and why?

I've only scratched the surface, but Discord seems nice, and saw many Reddit communities with their own Discord servers. Also haven't tried it yet, but heard positive opinions on Telegram.

@karl_mechkin Telegram – I tried that platform too but somehow didn't like it. But I need to prove that Slack or Discord are good, and better organised. :)

Discord seems more popular lately for its voice channels and gaming communities, but Slack is great for professional groups. Circle.so and Mighty Networks are solid options too for building branded community spaces with your own domain. Really depends on your specific needs and audience.
