Burnout is real. I've been there myself.
What I've learned is...if you don't take short breaks and include rest, you'll be forced to take long breaks later on.
How about you?

For me Iβve struggled with this in the past. I have found the sweet spot to be like allows your self breaks, all in love with the process and not the outcome. If you start to feel slightly burned on a day. Stop and pick it up tomorrow. Since itβs the side project there are rarely things SO pressing you canβt do the next day or two.
Also smaller chunks of work each day and allowing yourself not to feel guilty if you are not getting everything done.
Additionally I heard something that is like if your worst days turn into your most productive days from the past, then that amazing progress
Definitely true, It's like running a marathon without water breaks β you'll hit a wall eventually. I take those short breaks, recharge, and avoid the long break ambush.
So, I've got this quirky routine β stretch break every 27 minutes. Why 27? Well, don't ask, started with 21, bumped it to 27. Aim is 45, a work in progress. After stretching, I mix it up β edit a blog draft, water the plants (they're like my green buddies), quick non-chat call with a friend, or take the dog for a spin if you have one. Burnouts hit hard β restlessness, sleepless nights, weird eating habits, zero motivation, the whole zombie vibe. Been there during uni projects. Nightmare.
The game-changer for me? Books and a morning routine. Once hooked, I'm a routine junkie. Miss it, and I'm Mr. Cranky. Life's a balance, right?
