Should you hire a social media expert for your startup?

I am asking this question because I am trying to keep the cost of my product development very low since I am just starting out. It seems like Social media plays a massive role in your product growth. Should I hire someone over Fiverr or Upwork or do it by myself initially? It's just taking so much time for me to post content on social media.

I think you as the founder should take care of Social Media. It will help you connect with the target market and listen to what they need.
Also, it will help you establish yourself as a thought leader or an authority in your niche.
You can use services like Curatora.io to help you save time in coming up with content to publish on a regular basis.

Hiring a social media expert for your startup may not be necessary, but it's always a good idea to have someone on hand who can help with marketing. If you are unfamiliar or not skilled, hiring an expert can help you stay on track and make sure your message is being heard.

I have considered this many times as it is time consuming to keep up on all our social media's and publish content. But I came up with an idea to automate a lot of our posts which has increased our activity by maybe 400-500%.
It posts messages from our team in certain channels on our Discord. So publishing lots of content isn't a time consuming process anymore, only just need to keep up with replying to users.

Hello CrowdBullish,
I see your issue and I believe you could do 50% 50% in this beginning. Maybe hiring a social media to help create posts and content but you doing the post and engagement of the page, once in this early stage of your company is good to learn the market and see what's going on, so in the future, you can lead your employees.
There are a few platforms you can use to schedule de posts and have analytics from them. It doesn't have to be all manual. It's pretty time-consuming.
Let us know your decision though :)
