Well I didn’t manage it too well last year . I found it very difficult to switch off and ended up working a lot late at night. I did get out to do some exercise though which is a must when working remotely. This year I’ve set myself a strict schedule so I can manage my time better.

@simona_o_neill3 Hope it all goes well! Something that works for me as well is having a workspot outside of the living space. Makes it easier to actually disconnect when you get home. :)

Nico in my opinion its like balancing gets improved by regular practicing and following a organized work plan.
You have to put personal maintenance first. Working on your own you can end up out of routines, procrastinating, then working late. Burnout is very possible, and affects you a lot faster than you think. A good way to approach the day is thinking about what you need to do to have a good sleep. How much can you realistically get done? What do you need to do for yourself (eating, exercise, spending time with friends)? If your head hits the pillow and you feel anxious and can't sleep, then you need to work on routines and habits. In order to be effective you have to take care of yourself, so schedule around that. You have that freedom! Then you can show up your best self.

@whelm_me Love the approach Neil! I'm all for self care as well. The whole hustle culture is wildly unsustainable. Always good to have a good mix of different things to achieve daily and things that help "wrap up" the day. Thanks for sharing!

in separating the work of the office I succeeded great, but as for my personal projects not so much :) I don't think there's a real solution, what I'd like to do is to push to get the tools in place and then lower the pace or delegate the tasks once they allow for a financial return, and anyway watching Netflix I don't see it as something that makes you disconnect ;)

@marco_moauro1 hahah depends on the Netflix show you're watching probably :P Yeah the more projects the harder it probably is to keep everything well balanced. Do you have multiple personal projects running at the same time right now?
