  • Is the 'Attention Economy' burning out content creators? 🀯

I've noticed more creators and makers express burnout from the need to constantly engage, ship side projects, and everything in-between. Do you think these 'new' economies, such as the Attention Economy and Creator Economy, place excessive demands on our mental health and operate too quickly? And has this situation worsened, especially now that AI has magnified everything tenfold? What do y'all think? πŸ€”

Choosing a casino app isn’t easy with so many options out there, but this site made it simple to compare the best ones. The reviews highlight key aspects like game variety, ease of use, and bonus offers. I used the topx app link to explore more and found the perfect app that offers exactly what I was hoping for. Thanks to this site, I saved a lot of time, and now I’m enjoying a much better gaming experience.

Hi Bren, Great topic to highlight here. I've witnessed the acceleration towards content demand in my 20+ years in business and as a solo-preneur inventor it's really hard to generate content while also running a business. I have direct experience with the upsides of content creation when some of my product videos went viral on YouTube:
I think your question points to something deeper which is perhaps why there is such an imbalance in terms of content evaluation. Content creators are humans struggling to produce, organize, plan and post content to be relevant but the algorithms that are determinate towards ones success are anything but human. In the end the reason we are burning out is that we are no match for the demand of the algorithm and need more organic opportunities like the one that launched my company as a YouTube case study.

Oh, it's definitely harmful to your mental health. I'm thrilled with what's coming in the future with all those shifts that are happening (AI, geopolitics, etc.). The world is constantly moving somewhere, and in recent years, it just floored the gas pedal.

    Launching soon!
Absolutely, the Attention Economy is pushing creators to the edge. I've noticed so many creators feeling the pressure to constantly stay relevant, chase engagement, and produce at a rapid pace, it’s exhausting to watch. Now, with AI speeding everything up, the demands have only increased.

I think the 'Attention Economy' is definitely burning out a lot of content creators. It's so hard to keep up with the relentless demand for content while also trying to run your business. The algorithms push us to churn out more and more, but we're only human. I agree we need more organic, human-centered opportunities to showcase our work rather than just feeding the content machine endlessly. Creator burnout is a real problem that needs to be addressed.
