🤔 Is it necessary to post more than 1+ discussion on Product Hunt?

This question could apply to any platform based on commenting and discussing. The thing is: – when social media or platforms become bigger, more people are there, – more people means more posting so your discussion is lost in others' discussions, – when you increase the number of posts, your chances of being seen can increase. So if your goal is to be more visible and on others' minds, 1+ discussion can help. What do you prefer? 1 post per day or More posts per day

While I see that more posts per day can be beneficial, it's probably good to spend some time on doing things different and in more unique ways than others.

One post should be fine. I don't get what would one get from spamming...

I’d say it all depends on the quality of the posts. Posting frequently can be a positive strategy, but it’s key to maintain quality. My takeaway is to post when you have a good idea and feel inspired, rather than forcing out empty content. Quality over quantity! )

Good strategy if you have good content, though since I follow you, I receive atleast 1 email everyday notifying me of your post! From my perspective, that could be a downside :))

From a community perspective, a rich variety of content is more appealing to people. Even if the content is of high quality, if it’s repetitive, the audience’s interest will still diminish over time.

Post as many as you can.Total dominance is necessary to survive 🤗

@busmark_w_nika agreed. But spam will always win 💀 Humans gravitate towards creating low-end stuff.

I think 1-2 per day is good, especially when I'm following some one and get email notifications. If they post like 5 times in a row I get 5 emails and it makes me want to unfollow 🤣

If you want more people to see and engage with your post or thread, consider buying some ads. There are pros and cons to this approach, but it may yield a higher return on investment in the end.

@kamjin You buy ads in PH?

I think it can be adjusted to your needs. If your posts are of good quality, I think one post per day is enough. However, if your posts are of good quality and you post several, it will definitely be better.

By hosting multiple events, you're not just throwing a party; you're creating a whole festival season where everyone's invited, and the fun never stops! This way, your product doesn't just get noticed; it becomes the talk of the town, or in this case, the whole Product Hunt community!

It’s not necessary to post more than one discussion on Product Hunt.

@busmark_w_nika Ohh! Then try sticking to 1 discussion per day. 😄

@busmark_w_nika I noticed you're always doing only 1 post usually.

It depends on the situation; if I have an important topic to discuss, I'll post two. If not, I'll just post one.

Posting just one discussion on Product Hunt is like throwing one party and hoping everyone shows up. If you want to make a splash, consider hosting multiple events with different themes to keep things lively and engaging. Just don’t overdo it or you might end up with more posts than party guests. :DD

If I don't have valuable discussions to share, I would rather not post. There are increasingly more pointless posts on PH now, just to get people to comment on them. I believe the PH community is not meant for idle chatter and experience farming; I hope to see more valuable content and discussions.

@busmark_w_nika There are some topics that are not of lesser value, but are completely pointless and raise questions that aren't even questions. Then there are those who will re-post a previously heated discussion again.

I think posting 1 discussion per day is plenty to keep engagement up without overdoing it. The key is focusing on quality over quantity - make each post really compelling, thought-provoking and valuable to the community. Experiment with different types of topics, questions, polls, etc to see what resonates. And absolutely engage in the comments of your own posts and others to build relationships. But no need to spam the feed with multiple posts daily IMO.
