π€ Is it necessary to post more than 1+ discussion on Product Hunt?

This question could apply to any platform based on commenting and discussing.
The thing is:
β when social media or platforms become bigger, more people are there,
β more people means more posting so your discussion is lost in others' discussions,
β when you increase the number of posts, your chances of being seen can increase.
So if your goal is to be more visible and on others' minds, 1+ discussion can help.
What do you prefer?
1 post per day or
More posts per day

Iβd say it all depends on the quality of the posts. Posting frequently can be a positive strategy, but itβs key to maintain quality. My takeaway is to post when you have a good idea and feel inspired, rather than forcing out empty content. Quality over quantity! )

While I see that more posts per day can be beneficial, it's probably good to spend some time on doing things different and in more unique ways than others.

If I don't have valuable discussions to share, I would rather not post. There are increasingly more pointless posts on PH now, just to get people to comment on them. I believe the PH community is not meant for idle chatter and experience farming; I hope to see more valuable content and discussions.

@all_appp_games π I sometimes post something "less valuable" to create not exhausting convos. But have to admit that more and more of the convos there are not related to tech, SaaS, PH or marketing.
@busmark_w_nika There are some topics that are not of lesser value, but are completely pointless and raise questions that aren't even questions. Then there are those who will re-post a previously heated discussion again.

@all_appp_games What is better in that case?
Repeat heated discussions again or post as much as possible (totally whatever)?
Post as many as you can.Total dominance is necessary to survive π€

@ag94 you know the rules of the game. :D That is the ideal scenario. But as mention @all_appp_games β it is good to have quality posts as well, not only yada yada thoughts over there :D
@busmark_w_nika agreed. But spam will always win π

I think one per day is good enough if your words have weight.

@vertikanigam To have that dominance is not easy (even when you are well-known). But when you are positioned as an expert, people will be honouring your words.

@busmark_w_nika Very true.

One post should be fine. I don't get what would one get from spamming...

@vaibhavdwivedi attention. More visibility of your profile. But I think you can get out most of it when you create valuable and meaningful convo. Just increasing chances.
It depends on the situation; if I have an important topic to discuss, I'll post two. If not, I'll just post one.

yep, the context and POV of other side counts. @udaya_sri

Posting just one discussion on Product Hunt is like throwing one party and hoping everyone shows up. If you want to make a splash, consider hosting multiple events with different themes to keep things lively and engaging.
Just donβt overdo it or you might end up with more posts than party guests. :DD

Good strategy if you have good content, though since I follow you, I receive atleast 1 email everyday notifying me of your post! From my perspective, that could be a downside :))

@swarna_hebb So one is okay? Or do you wanna more? :D
minimalist phone: creating folders
1 post per day is enough

@babar_saleem For now :D
I think 1-2 per day is good, especially when I'm following some one and get email notifications. If they post like 5 times in a row I get 5 emails and it makes me want to unfollow π€£

@nathancovey I am surprised that people read PH newsletters. Because I am so overdosed by them that I ignore them. π
By hosting multiple events, you're not just throwing a party; you're creating a whole festival season where everyone's invited, and the fun never stops! This way, your product doesn't just get noticed; it becomes the talk of the town, or in this case, the whole Product Hunt community!

@nifal_adam2 I am not festival person (tho love conferences) :D

I would have upvoted this multiple times if I could. It used to be exciting to see fresh faces bringing new ideas. Now, it's mostly the same voices over and over, which could be more helpful. However, I commend @busmark_w_nika for consistently fostering quality discussions for visibility and genuine engagement.

@busmark_w_nika, Exactly,
Your discussions are of such impressive quality that I think Product Hunt should use them as a reference point.

@umar_saleem quality > quantity

@umar_saleem Please, give me a tissue, you made me cry (*Tears of joy)
I believe posting more than one discussion can help reach different segments of the community and get varied perspectives.
In my experience, posting one well-thought-out discussion is usually enough to engage the community effectively.
Iβve tried posting a discussion myself, but unfortunately, it didnβt get published.

@stephanie_alma Did they break some rules? Sometimes it happens that some creators are not featured maybe because they have new accounts or so.
Itβs not necessary to post more than one discussion on Product Hunt.
minimalist phone: creating folders
That's why I do only 1 post usually :) @ditarth_wbs
@busmark_w_nika I noticed you're always doing only 1 post usually.
minimalist phone: creating folders
@ditarth_wbs yes, but had also sometimes 2 or so :D
@busmark_w_nika Ohh! Then try sticking to 1 discussion per day. π
minimalist phone: creating folders
@ditarth_wbs I do have time only for one post per day :D so it is realistic :D
