  • I read comments, and most are typed out from ChatGPT... what's the point?

Maybe I'm the naive one... but why do people even bother engaging in this community if everything you type is chewed and spat out by some AI? And please don't start with the language barrier; all people I know, and I don't care if there's an error here and there in what we're reading (I'm not a native English speaker either).

I just report them when I see them lol. It does take away value from the community a bit, but I can imagine it's really hard for PH to monitor as well.

@nicolaas_spijker started to do that as well; thanks for the inspiration :D

Yeah, I also want answers. Most people use ChatGPT, but why
    Nicolò Marchesi
@jayden_jameson don't misunderstand; I use ChatGPT a lot. For drafting out many things, from emails to commercial offers or content for blog posts. What I DON'T do is take that and just slam it wherever I need; I usually tweak a lot just to get inspiration from what I want to write. My point is that it's detrimental in a community because the main reason you're participating (to build relations) is demanded to another one.

How did you notice that? Personally, I don't use AI, not until it's inevitable.

@pethron wow...I will be on the look out for it.

@ijay you need to look at the structure of the response. My rule of thumb is that it's explaining things that don't need explaining; that's what a standard response from AI models looks like. There are a few comments here that are AI-generated. Also it is kind of lazy since it's easy to make the model create a more tailored response.

TBH I would appreciate it if people could flag AI as AI. I have no problem with it just so long as it is honest.
    Nicolò Marchesi
@phil_meyer, that's the bare minimum, still don't see the point where you're supposed to make connections

Honestly I feel you on this one! Unfortunately I think there are people who are focused on gaining followers and points as fast as possible (I still really don’t know what the points do 😂) I tend to write lengthy posts (because I want to actually be helpful) but only on discussions and launches I can actually contribute useful info to. (Apart from when it’s just fun ones.) Otherwise like you said what is the point?! The PH community team are working hard to monitor but it’s just a constant uphill battle!
    Nicolò Marchesi
@carolmoh thank you! At least I'm not alone! I know it's to gain more followers, but from what I could have seen if you didn't interact with someone meaningfully, I don't feel like going to your product launch and helping out. Note: I usually try to test and upvote as many products as possible daily, starting from the ones I think I can help with. But if I remember someone who did this kind of shady tactic, I will remember them!

@carolmoh @pethron unartificially and shamelessly asking for your support with, and better yet, test drive of, creeperseoaudit.com ;-)

Some of the products' comment section are so weird it feels like a collection of bots together. I don't mind using AI to polish the language, at least I hope to see real opinions.
    Nicolò Marchesi
@thinking_aloud for that use case I can understand. I often use it myself (I rely a lot more on Grammarly and the like) but the community itself should actively counter it.
    George Burmistrov
Maybe people want to do as many comments as possible to get more points. Or maybe it's just laziness :D
    Nicolò Marchesi
@burmistrov you get points by only commenting? Isn't that related to at least an upvote on the comment? that's definitely something the PH team should implement...
    George Burmistrov
@pethron Well, the more you comment, the more there are chances you get upvotes on your comments :)

I think those people want to appear like they’re active on PH, or just bots trying to fool PH’s algorithm (for when they upvote products). “Hope this answers your question, but if you need any help, please let me know - Powered by ClaudiuGPT”
