We have a holding page on the website where people can sign up with their email for updates, but how is it best to market a tool that hasn't launched yet to get these email leads? Any advice?

Use social media to offer teasers and sneak peeks. You can post pictures or even create short videos.

Our team is using Twitter. Not only us, but also many Saas makers are marketing using Twitter. Do you have a Twitter account?

Your product is going to solve a particular problem of a user. Find your target audience, the people who are facing these problems. Find where they hangout online and offline. Go there are help them solve their daily problems. Build trust and authority there. Then slowly start introducing your product, saying that you can solve all these problems with (your product) Solve peoples problem and they will throw money at you

I am facing the same issue! I have something similar on my landing page but instead of email updates I am trying to drive product demos. A piece of advice I have seen posted around is to share free content (like starting a blog) that is relevant to the space you are working in.
