How important is a beautiful UI for a product today?

Question

I believe it will become increasingly important. One reason is that with the development of AI, the cost of developing products will decrease, and products that meet personalized needs will become more common. As functionality becomes more homogeneous, products with a great visual experience will have more of an edge.

In other words, I believe that whether for B2B or B2C products, a beautiful UI will become even more crucial in the future.

I'd say, the UI doesn’t need to be overly beautiful, but it should look decent and functional. A clean, well-designed UI shows that care has gone into building the product. 
It also depends on whether it’s B2B or B2C. For B2B, a decent UI that solves business pain points is enough. For B2C, the stakes are higher and competition is intense, so the UI should be up to par to stand out.
