How do you plan to spend Christmas time and NY? (any work plans too?)

Many people slowed down as the Christmas season is coming.
This is the time of the year when I tend to see my family more,
but also have more time to work on some quick side projects. 😅
What are your plans for the upcoming 2 weeks?

When others stop for a pit stop, that's when you speed up and win the race 🏎️

@sentry_co Agree with you in principle. But rest and family time is tantamount to taking one step back to jump ten steps ahead.
@varun_bhagath For most people yes. depends on your mode. If you just got YC funding and you're building an AI wrapper at break neck speed. Then that's temporary and you need every second you can get your hands on. 😅

Since I don't take break during Christmas, our customers do and hence things are usually super slow from 25th to 1st weekend post NY.
I spend time exploring new things, connecting with new people, meeting a few IRL, etc. Mostly productive stuff.
This year, I plan to have a reunion with my undergrad friends. We will all be meeting together after 17 years :)

@busmark_w_nika well, everyone is happy in their life in some or the other way. But it would be fun to refresh old memories 🙂

@ashitvora That's pretty amazing.
I think you will stand out among them as a successful business owner :)

Am launching my product Glibzter Immersive on Product Hunt. I will be aiming to help users improve their communication skills through contextual understanding of the usage of English words and phrases.
It is the follow up in terms of acting on the feedback that will keep me busy in December with 'Jingle bells' ringing in the background.

Hey Nika, sounds like you’ve got a nice balance planned—family time and sneaking in a bit of side hustle energy! For me, Christmas and New Year are all about recharging with loved ones, indulging in way too many desserts, and reflecting on the year's highs (and "what was I thinking" moments).
That said, I’ll also be using the downtime to tinker with some ideas for pdftopdf.ai, like refining our user onboarding flow and maybe sneaking in a few experiments with upcoming features. It’s the kind of light, fun work that feels more like brainstorming than actual “work.”
How about you—any side projects you’re extra excited about? Or will it be more about eating cookies in fuzzy socks?
I will spend it traveling and roaming around the historical places.
I'm planning to spend the holidays focused on cranking out code for my latest project launch in Q1. No time to relax when you're in the trenches trying to ship and iterate fast! Although I might take a few hours off for some gaming breaks to recharge. Anyone else grinding through the holidays?
Spending quality time with family, enjoying good food, and catching up on sleep! 😴 On the work front, planning to knock out a bunch of overdue tasks and prep for a strong start to the new year. 💪 What about you?
Christmas and New Year’s are the perfect time to slow down and spend quality time with family, and I’m really looking forward to that.
I’m also planning to use some of the downtime to refine a project I’ve been working on—it’s been exciting getting everything ready. One of my main goals is to work on the landing page as part of gearing up for a product launch next year.
