How does the PH community go about investing? Do you rely on friends, advisors, online forums, your own research to decide what to invest in?

Since I was a kid I had the ability to save money when I reach a significant amount I started learning how to invest. Mostly, I do research on my own.

Do you typically start with screeners to identify investments or leverage other channels (media, etc)?
Mainly research on my own after friends and family make some suggestions.
Currently finding ETFs most useful.
I am just starting to study this issue, as well as the cost of land. In this article, there is an excellent selection of the prospects for such investments, as well as approximate prices and benefits by country where you can do it.
