Hi. First of all you need to use reliable mail sending service (ex. mailerlite, sendinblue, mailchimp). Second I always test emails with the email testing tool for example https://www.mailgenius.com/. Emails testing tools allows to get better view of your email message. For example what is email score, also DKIM and SPF records are correctly configured and many other things. Hope this will help you ;)

@nerijuso I want to second this. I also want to recommend against sendgrid. I migrated out of mailchimp to them because of pricing, and then started having too many issues with spam. Now I'm using sendinblue/brevo and while not as good as mailchimp, I'm satisfied with it for the pricing.

Avoiding the spam folder can be tricky, but it's doable. Start with a solid subject line - no all caps or excessive exclamation points. Make sure you're sending to folks who have opted-in and keep your email list clean.
