When building a product most of the time we've direct/indirect competitors, so my question is how you do a competitive analysis of products that are already solving the same thing you're trying to solve. Do you follow any framework? Or any tips?

Good day. Competitor analysis is indeed a very important tool in any business. On this issue, I prefer to contact the guys from https://data40.com/competitor-re.... They do their job as professionally as possible, the results are amazing.

I don't have a specific framework. but in terms of B2B SaaS industry, I always go check their reviews on G2.com. you can read what they like about the product, what they don't like and how they use it the most. You can also see additional information such as the reviewer's company, position, industry and other softwares he/she uses. It gives a lot of ideas and expands your understanding on your potential customers.
