How do I get feedback from target user when my product hasn't launched yet?

So I built a product to help newbie designer have more opportunity to design not only the visual part but also practice in analysis and research skills. I tried using Google Form to survey and collect feedback from the community on Discord and Telegram but didn't get a response. Do I really need to launch a product to get feedback from users?

Maybe search for more 1:1 interactions if you haven't launched yet. That way you can walk users through your thought process of the product and you can catch on smaller cues of the product and ICP.

@nicolaas_spijker Very good advice indeed! That's what I plan to do very soon. Also, some people spoke about Polywork for beta testing but haven't tried it yet.

@jack95 Exactly! For us, while we have been live for a while, I try to have a call or chat with a few new users at least once a month, that way we don't lose focus on what we're working on/ get some perspective on someone who has never interacted with the product. Metrics and surveys help a lot to understand general sentiment, but there is so much depth to get from a perspective when you get some 1:1 time.

There was some posts in here about trading feedback and beta testing each others products. You know you can have more than 1 launch for your product right? If it will be more than 6 months, you can launch what you have now then again later. PH just wants to see a significant difference on each launch

FWIW At Specify, we're working on an upcoming product and recently explored opportunities with Polywork. We had great results: 30+ early beta testers in a few hours 👍

@abell_vo Have you tried joining on Slack communities to get feedbacks? They have certain channels specific for survey and feedback. Also try posting this to https://wizly.app under Q&A. Some experts might be able to give you their inputs and advice. Hope this helps!
