How did you come up with your product's name? 🧐

During product launch on Product Hunt, I noticed a lot of interesting product names that immediately caught my attention. 🤩

I’d love to know—did you do a lot of research before naming your product, or did you go with the first name that came to mind?

Great question! Naming a product can be such a creative journey. For my product, I wanted a name that reflects its core functionality and appeal.

Naming is often a challenge! My product's name came from a combination of its primary features and a play on words. It’s memorable and describes what we do well, which was our goal.

Good question! My product is to help you organize, grow, & maintain your network. So I thought it should be related to or have network in the name somehow. The first name was Netwrkr. Feedback wasn't great. Then came up with UNetwrk and the tagline: You network? You should? Feedback was much better with UNetwrk and I designed the logo around the name. We've since stopped using "You network? You should?" based on language we want to use to target our ICP. What are your thoughts on our name? I wish I could say we spent weeks in a top-secret lab brainstorming names, but "Her Ideal Match" just came to us over coffee! We wanted a name that immediately conveys what we do—using data science to help men understand what women truly want in dating profiles. Simple, yet effective, right? 😄
