Manual check: Manually go through all the pages of your website and click on each link to ensure they are functioning correctly. This method is applicable for small websites, however, for a large website, this can be time-consuming.

@katushkas I think it will be very hard for big websites or for those website who have big numbers of backlinks
@mani_abod I agree, this is not the best option for big websites. There are plenty of free online tools available to check for broken links. I haven't personally used any of them, so I can't recommend anything specific.
You can check for broken links on a website by utilizing various online tools like Screaming Frog, Google's Search Console, or Broken Link Checker, as well as plugins for web browsers or utilizing command-line tools like wget or curl, all of which scan through the webpage and report back on links that return error codes such as 404, indicating a broken link.

Simple use Seo tools like Ahref etc.
Ahrefs or Semrush are my go to on this. Scrape Box and Apify are also good options
