@alex_egorov Yes, It's a common struggle, prioritizing things is a good way I think.
Hey, this is an interesting question! As someone who has struggled with multitasking in the past, I believe it can hurt productivity if not done correctly. However, if you prioritize tasks and give each one your full attention before moving on to the next, it can be a helpful tool.
By the way, I noticed you're about to launch a product! That's awesome. I'm actually in the same boat and would love any advice you have for a fellow product hunter. When your product is live, I'd also appreciate your feedback on mine. Don't forget to click "Notify" to stay updated on my launch. Thanks!
I already got the attention span of a humming bird! So I can't multitask! I can do stuff but it needs to be in separate time periods!
@mansi_trivedi1 get that, Focusing on one thing at a time in separate time periods can be just as effective. What's your secret to staying focused?
@mansi_trivedi1 That's nice mansi.
Depends on whether you are prioritizing things for multi tasking or are just jumping from one thing to another.
For me, multitasking helps in productivity as I am able to complete similar tasks at the same time
@ks1072002 Yes it same for me, multitasking boosts my productivity, allowing me to tackle similar tasks simultaneously.
100% HURTS your productivity. Contrary to what many people think, you lose out on at least 20% of your productivity by switching between tasks. In this world, it's really difficult to not multi-task, but I truly try to shut off my other devices (and wifi where I can) when i'm doing deep work on a cognitively demanding task. I've realized it significantly improves my output and saves me a ton of time.
On the one hand, context switching is draining, on the other hand, switching to another task can serve as a break, which can be helpful. So I guess it all comes down to balance. That being said, I am way too easily distracted to actually balance it :p
Multitasking generally hurts productivity by dividing attention and increasing cognitive load, leading to lower overall efficiency.
