Does it feel like the social networks/media industry has fallen since Twitter died?

When Elon "Chief Twit" acquired Twitter things seemed to fall, and as the days kept going things were tumbling until it was X. Am I the only one who feels and sees the industry has fallen after Twitter's disappearance?
