Nope. Should I?

I only use it when I have a long story to send to a friend through a messenger app. Otherwise I would not use it!

My issue with voice notes is- I love sending them but I hate receiving them lol I find it easy to communicate using them but I need time to listen when I receive them so it takes me a long time to get back to people if i receive them -but sometimes I have to say it's much more fun than texting

actually i am making some kind of diary .. and implemented choice to record audio though it's not like all use it .. most people prefer write .. and i am the same .. only Diary hard_users use it

@xeno1 sounds cool! And product looks very nice! Do you transcribe voice, or store as it is, as audio track?
Ruslan.D
@ivan_makarov1 as a track i think about transcribing .. but may be later .. while it's completely free
Sergei Terno
I suppose the user journey is longer than just record a voice memo. I have to manage it after and it struggles
Ivan Makarov
@ternome imagine you have a tool to land these voice memos with transcription to Notion. Would it be convenient? Like ad-hoc diary with less effort to write and manage
Vova Krasilnikov
Voice messages sure. When my hands are blocked
Henry Habib
Not really. Which specific situations do you see voice memos as useful?
Ivan Makarov
@henry_habib i use voice memos to catch my ideas on the go and transcribe them to notion to process later Also, it is perfect way to guide team when you are always moving and away from keyboard
Artyom Sviridov
Nah, not a big fan :) I prefer text messages.
Daniel Benoit
Sometimes is do. But I think normally a call or a short text is more sufficient. Don't you?
Ivan Makarov
@danielbenoit when hands are busy, it might be tricky; Also voice messages is a call but in async mode :)
Rihab Zaidi
yes, especially when communicating with text sometimes can confuse or when need to explain something that was miscommunicated many times.
Kirill Grebenjukov
I don't use voice memos and rarely voice messages. I hate voice messages in business communications because it's not guaranteed that you counterpart can listen for it right now (I'm often can't and discussion is stuck for a while) and it almost unusable later because there is no search capability
Ivan Makarov
@kgrebenjukov Imagine you have semantic search over your voice memos, does it change anything?
