Do you use AI for screening resumes?

We are using AI for such things as creating content even emails. Have you implemented AI also into hiring processes – screening resumes?

Honestly, we don't look at resumes at all.
We recently had an opening for one QA Engineer and received over 2,000 applications. It's just not humanly possible to review all the resumes.
So, we set up an automated process. Everyone who applied received an assignment within an hour. They had 3 days to complete it (the assignment was designed to take no more than 30 minutes).
Out of 2,000+ applicants, fewer than 50 responded. This gave us a clear idea of how many were truly serious.
We didn't check the resumes of these 50. Instead, we reviewed the Loom videos they submitted (under 5 minutes) where they walked us through their solution to the assignment.
This approach helped us evaluate their clarity, communication, and ability to express their thoughts. We shortlisted 4-5 candidates and ended up hiring 2 of them.
Yes, we're always on the lookout for good talent. It's hard to find, but when we do, we hire—even if we don't have an immediate requirement.

@ashitvora was this onboarding successful? What do you consider apart from assignment? E.g. what can you learn from the call?
