I think it's just a passing trend

@shabb_katoch Interesting perspective! While it might seem like a trend now, I feel its its potential lies in how it evolves and integrates into our daily lives.

I think the metaverse has potential but is overhyped right now. VR/AR tech still needs to improve a lot to deliver truly immersive experiences. It could become big in 5-10 years but I wouldn't bet on any specific vision of the 'metaverse' being the future. Probably more of an evolution than revolution. Just my 2 cents tho, curious what others think!

@hugodominiccarmichael Great points! I agree that the current tech needs to catch up to the vision. It's exciting to think about the possibilities 5-10 years down the line.

I think the metaverse is more than just a fad. Major tech companies are investing billions into building metaverse platforms and experiences. It will take time to evolve and reach mainstream adoption, but the potential applications are vast - from gaming and entertainment to education, training, remote work, and more. The metaverse represents the next evolution of the internet into immersive 3D worlds. While the hype may fade, the underlying tech and long-term vision is here to stay IMO.

@danieljosephbennett Great points! I agree that while the hype might come and go, the foundation being built by these tech giants shows there's real potential. The variety of applications you mentioned, especially in education and remote work, could truly redefine how we interact with technology.

I honestly think the metaverse has potential but its hard to say if it'll stick around long-term. Right now

@lonny_shatzel I get what you mean! The potential is definitely there, but i think it'll depend on how seamlessly it integrates into our daily lives.
