Do you prepare your PH discussion content in advance? (My take on it)

Do you post purposefully? TBH, I have some topics on the paper (like keywords or sentences outlining what the discussion could be about) but rarely prepare full posts. – which is not the best thing because you can find yourself under pressure then trying to make up something at the last minute. The outcome can be poor. ❗️The exception is when I travel – then I know that the conditions will be uncertain, so I prepare something for the same number of days I am abroad + 2 to 3 posts more, for sure. I won't necessarily use it though. What about you? Do you prepare your content for PH discussions?

Same here. I have a list of topics but never prepare in advance. But should, to avoid pressure ! 😅

@toni_pm @dan_o_malley Yes, it can be useful when I am totally off and run out of ideas.

@toni_pm At least you have a list of topics! That's a good start.

@toni_pm YES! I have a single Trello card for that but it is not touched :D

I have only posted once, and it was quite last minute, now that I think about it, it should have been prepared 🙃

@manpreet_singh5 It depends if you consider PH as your "main platform". If your goal is to grow, I would recommend having a more strategic approach. .) you will see what fits for you.

I am new to PH and I honestly haven’t got a clue! I know that I need to be interactive in the community but my dev brain fails to socialize. Can you provide any tips or suggestions to get started?

@moumen_hamid Interaction is easy when you will find there is a "funny part" for you. You can for example review dev products and give recommendations (I think people will appreciate it as they can build a better product thanks to your feedback). And all in all... you are now socialising. Keep going and welcome to PH! :)

i brainstorm a list of topics i want to post discussions on- but never curate it all the way. Maybe i should- but i like that it is more authentic this way!

@my3_murthy You may try a hybrid approach. 20% of prepared, 80% spontaneous. :)

This is my first launch (https://www.producthunt.com/post...), and honestly, it's been quite spontaneous. I think for the next one, I could do a hybrid as you recommend.

I like to keep it spontaneous like a live coding session, but a few notes for backup never hurt, just like having extra semicolons in your code for good measure!

Me too! I prefer spontaneous posts! But planning ahead when travelling is a good idea.

@emily_willis1 Yes, it is because when you have so many plans for touring around the city or totally booked schedule, you are more likely to forget, so preparation is worth doing. :)
