Do you have a referral strategy in your product?

@ahmedkhairy Well the final goal would be to find similar user profiles to use the tool and measure a healthy free to paid funnel through the referrals. At the same time, I want to protect from any abuse should that arise. In our space, almost every competitor has a referral campaign but many of the content created by their affiliates can come off a little scammy with the "you can make thousands every month using this AI tool". I want to avoid that.

@hariz_maloy1 I agree, this approach attracts the wrong users and and conveys wrong signals about your product. A question though, what kind of incentives are you willing to offer to your users? I'm assuming in-app credits or discount?

@ahmedkhairy we were thinking every 5-10 referrals gets you the next month free. Something like that.

@hariz_maloy1 Sounds like a plan. In that case, my recommendation is to implement a tiered referral program, where you offer simple rewards at first and gradually make them more challenging as users progress.This way, people are more likely to keep referring others, while you lower your customer acquisition cost for referrals over time. And because incentives are in-app benefits, you're not really paying any money :)
