Curious to know people's responses. Social media marketing is beginning to look overrated to me and hardly any conversion. YouTube for example, viewers are wired to skip ads. LinkedIn is expensive. TikTok - well, good luck with TikTokers' attention span of 2 seconds. Instagram - good luck chasing the algorithm for meaningful reach, even if it's an ad you're paying for. Reddit - I know not much about it, likewise Twitter with its ever changing landscape.

@istiakahmad Ah good luck!

@istiakahmad How do you advertise on Whatsapp without sending spam messages?
Yemi Oyepeju
@istiakahmad That would be cool and I'd be interested. However, I doubt there would be many prospects from a big market such as USA on Whatsapp. The 16yo - 35yo market mostly use iMessage on iPhone. Possibly UK too.

Advertising platforms can vary greatly in effectiveness depending on your product and target audience. For B2C products, Instagram and TikTok are excellent for reaching a wide, engaged audience, especially if your product is visually appealing or trend-based. LinkedIn is more suited for B2B products, offering a professional network and targeting capabilities. Google and YouTube ads are versatile, great for both B2C and B2B, and offer robust analytics. Twitter and Reddit can be hit-or-miss but offer unique opportunities for niche markets and community engagement. It's always about testing and finding where your audience is most active.
@barryzheng568 great insights. I see what you mean about B2B with LinkedIn. Thanks for sharing Barry

I am just using Google ADS for now. I tried LinkedIn too but I got terrible results.
@haguiar I have heard several people say LinkedIn had bad ROI

I don't advertise products, but businesses often find success on platforms like Meta (FB/IG), Google/YouTube, and LinkedIn for varied audiences and purposes. The choice depends on the target demographic and advertising goals.
