Today, I noticed some interesting analytics for our SaaS product! Out of 22 top-performing websites, 8 (36%) are using Pagemaker subdomains (like "page-name.pagemaker.link"). What are your thoughts on using a custom domain vs. a platform domain?

I would certainly never buy from a free subdomain website, and there are low chances I give them my email.

I think a custom domain is worth it for the brand authority it conveys. Sure, a free subdomain works, but your own domain makes you look more professional and helps with SEO. Just my 2 cents though - curious what others think! Anyone have data on conversion rates for custom vs free domains?

Deciding between a custom domain and a free subdomain is like choosing between a tailored suit and off-the-rack – both can work, but one might just fit better for the occasion! What's your style preference in this digital wardrobe dilemma?

Choosing between a custom domain and a free subdomain for your landing page depends on your goals and budget. A custom domain offers a professional, branded appearance, builds credibility, and can improve SEO, making it ideal for businesses or long-term projects. It comes at a cost, but the investment is often worthwhile for brand control and trust. A free subdomain while cost-effective and easy to set up, lacks the professional polish and SEO benefits of a custom domain, making it suitable for temporary projects or testing ideas. If you're serious about your brand, a custom domain is the better choice.
