I know many founders use it as a launch path following a clear marketing strategy. But some other are really convinced about its real value. I'm feeling in the middle. At this moment I know doing it publicly makes a sense of commitment that I'm using as my fuel. Your thoughts?

Yo German, let's break it down - building in public, pros, and cons, no sugar coating: *Pros: -Community Buzz: Pro: Your peeps rally around you. It's like having a built-in support system. -Real-Time Feedback: Pro: Instant insights from users. It's like having a 24/7 focus group. -Trust Builder: Pro: Transparency earns trust. Users love a peek behind the curtain. -Motivation Boost: Pro: Public eyes keep you grinding. It's a kick in the pants when you need it. -Networking Gold: Pro: You attract cool collaborators. Networking game goes strong. *Cons: -Pressure Cooker: Con: All eyes on you can be stressful. The pressure is real. -Idea Poachers: Con: Sharing too much, someone might nick your idea. It's like walking a fine line. -Feedback Overload: Con: Too much input can be confusing. Filtering through all the advice gets tricky. -Time-Consuming: Con: Sharing every move takes time. Balancing between building and documenting ain't easy. -Burnout Risk: Con: Constant visibility can lead to burnout. It's a marathon, not a sprint.

@lucasemma yeah! So impressive analysis. Chat GPT must envy you. I'll take 'Motivation boost' as the main pro, being really careful on 'Feedback Overload'. Really appreciate your answer!

Love build in public, allows you to get way more feedback early on. Be careful that it doesn't take up too much of your building time though. Also, not every feedback point should change your product, so you have to make sure you're not making changes too often/changing your concept too much.

I think when you building in public it is a process which also build peoples trust, and then some of the people became users. Angel users help you polish your product

@german_merlo1 Sure thing! And once they build the trust, they will naturally transit to ur brand ambassador

@sylvia_sheng I feel the same as you. Trust building is something you cannot buy. It's a process and doing publicly can help you on that

Visibility - I waffle back and fourth almost daily but I think the biggest upside is that you are visible. I guess revenue generation is also pretty important ahha

Agree @dzaitzow - If you can address the 'visibility' it can be very useful to begin. Thanks for answering!
