Basic SEO. How many keywords do I need per page?

Hey there! CEO learning about SEO here. We are in the middle of defining our keywords for Memorable AI and it would be quite useful to know what amount of keywords you can tackle per unique page of content. Is there a universal answer?

Unfortunately, there is no answer to that. Try to focus on 5-10 keywords though. Focus on your main keyword in general and in the smaller sections focus on other long tail & supporting keywords. I hope this helps!

It's super difficult to know 100%. There isn't a universal answer. Generally, advice from Google is that as long as you are writing useful content that is clearly linked to your focus topic, and are regularly updating your website and getting traffic, you'll eventually start climbing.
You can use tools like https://seorch.eu/ to give you some actionable guidance for some specific mechanisms that seem to have good correlation with success. Another helpful tool is Google's 'Lighthouse' tool, which is built into Chrome (right-click on page -> Inspect -> Lighthouse tab in the top right). Lighthouse is super helpful because it gives insights into page performance, accessibility (which Google claims impacts its crawling algorithm pretty significantly), as well as SEO.
It took us about 4 months after launching the website to get to the number one spot on Google for our brand name (at least in most of Europe). Interestingly on Bing and other search engines, we were #1 after 2 weeks. So who really knows!

@sebasmemorable Yep, blogs count! As long as google can find a way to your blog (ie. via a link on your homepage). We try to push a blog post every few weeks, and try to make it as relevant to the target audience of our product as possible. In fact we just launched one today! When it comes to search engine optimization, one question I'm often asked is "How many keywords do I need per page?" My answer? A lot! In fact, a well-optimized page should contain at least 10 relevant keywords, though 15 or more can help you achieve an even higher ranking. However, be warned that keyword stuffing won’t get you far - if your key phrases don't fit naturally into your content, they will actually hurt your chances of being found by search engines. Choose wisely and use quality over quantity if you want the best results.
@alekswatch Thanks Alexis! That was really useful! They way Im trying to make it work: first I write my own original industry content and then I try to optimize the allready existing words for optimized SEO terms. Does that make sense to you?
