Are you disgusted with Social Media sites?

I am. I am an engineer, published author of dozen tech books, co-founder of multiple startups. Recently, I am involved in two B2C startups and almost forced to explore social media as an organic growth option. But here is what I found:
LinkedIn - headhunters and insurance sales man constantly DMing me.
X/Twitter - unless you create super controversial content, no reach
Facebook Groups - seem to be very spammy
Instagram - honestly didn't try it as I think its a very different age bracket
TikTok - hear conflicting things about it. Didn't really try.
What are your experience? I totally understand that my experience with these SM sites are probably not the same as yours.

This post is funny to me. The same reasons you don’t like social media are what you’ll contribute to if you want to succeed in social media marketing!
I think what sells is building a strong personal brand with compelling stories. This is why there’s a great movement to partnering with creators

Actually – LI is becoming a new Facebook.
But I need to say that X (Twitter) exceeded my expectations as I found there solopreneurs, indie hackers and buildinpublic makers so I am there more often.
Partially, I use PH as social media.
@busmark_w_nika I am mostly using X and enjoy X Spaces (audio chat) with founders. I will post live and recorded spaces focused on tech founders here: https://shownotes.app/show/xspaces
@shownotes Do you record spaces as well?
There is too much noise. Your ability to create more and consume less on SM will make you feel less frustrated.
