5 tips to make better reels, shorts or tiktoks
In case you’re not convinced that creating short clips is worth your time, here are the stats:
• Reels on Instagram get the most reach out of any type of content posted there at +33%.
• Demand for YouTube Shorts is growing at ~33% YoY but shorts published only rose ~10%.
• TikTok still leads in short-form video views at 23 hours and 28 min per month (but YouTube is just a few minutes...

Want to launch a Youtube show or video podcast but don't have the time or expertise to edit?
As a podcast host and producer myself, I know the feeling all too well. I f*ckin love prepping for interviews, meeting new people that come on the show, that feeling of joy when a guest says 'oh this is the first podcast I've been on and it was really fun.'
That's all the icing on the cake. But editing full episodes and producing promo clips after the interview is done is such a drag.
So I'm...

ClipWing is fan-damn-tastic for any video creator — but especially for those of us who come from a writing or content background. The established leaders in video editing software (Adobe Premiere, Devinci, etc) make amazingly powerful tools but for video newbs they're hella hard to learn quickly.
Then ClipWing fluttered into existence with a silly-simple transcript-based editor and took all...

Our team went through this last spring and ended up with a successful launch by hyping it up for ~1 month ahead of the PH launch. Mostly on Twitter but a bit on Linkedin as well.
We wrote a (short) 6-step guide after getting product of the day + week — check it out here:

PS: we didn't have huge audiences on Twitter to make this happen, started with a few...

I checked it out, really wanted to just see the prices listed on your site so I don't have to click through to each one.
Aside from that — one feature I've always wanted with travel booking sites is a 'wish-list' function of sorts where I can:
1. enter several destinations I know I want to visit in the next few years
2. enter date ranges that I would want to be there
3. get updates from time...

Generally, blogging is a long-term play to gradually increase your site traffic from organic Google search over 4-12 months.
So you should do it if that is one goal of yours — but to increase the impact on your upcoming launch, I'd put just as much effort into using that blog content on other more immediate platforms where your target market hangs out.
Could be X, or Linkedin, or wherever....

The PH team have played with a few different community style features in the past, but I don't recall any external communities.
Anyway, I think they want to keep folks on-site for as long as possible — so they facilitate discussions here.
And I don't know what folks would do in a PH discord besides promote their launches?
Why doesn't Product Hunt have a community on Discord?

You probably want to be growing your network of folks in 2 groups: those who are in your target customer group & those who are interested in building products / launching on PH.
Sometimes these overlap, but often they're distinct.
Obviously, more reach among your target market = more paying customers if you market well.
For more tips, we created this short guide after launching...

These are valid points indeed, but a quick glance at the team behind DOAC on Linkedin shows no fewer than 7 folks in marketing roles (aside from Steven himself). Also curious what their ad spend looks like. Well, good strategies, a strong team and $$$ go a long way 💪

Been getting into weightlifting this winter. Mostly to supplement the running and cycling that I enjoy in warmer months but also because age = lean muscle loss and I'd like to postpone that a few more years.
It hasn't been without hiccups though as my back is pretty f*cked up from getting too spicy with the deadlifts last weekend. Go easy and get help with technique for best results early on.
