Automations are always useful, but I think it's 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 to call this an "AI Chrome extension".
Because from what I can tell the automation creation process itself is not AI-enabled by a long shot. The fact that these non-AI automations can include calls to remote AI services doesn't really make this extension an AI extension.

Hi Sıla,
For me it's more about how you prioritise the things you have got to say rather than how long the video is.
If you can show the application's main use case within the first 5 minutes, then you'll be OK. For example, if you are demoing an application, you may want to start by showing a core feature rather than how to configure the application (this means the application should have...

What does an application platform with deep AI capabilities look like?
Do the platforms have to provide integrated AI capabilities themselves, or can these capabilities be added by third parties to existing platforms?
A new browser runtime that complements JS, enabling composable and modular web applications. ❖ Build applications composed of internal and external services (SaaS…). ❖ Modularise the UI layer for microservices. ❖ 10x easier integrations than with REST.

What will UX look like with the current SaaS & micro-SaaS Cambrian explosion?
The average employee was using 11 applications even before the micro-SaaS phenomenon.
Nowadays SaaS vendors are offering an ever-growing number of ever more specialised applications.
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀:
Would employees be content with juggling between too many applications, or would they prefer using only one application that fits their role and their line of work?

For understanding physics and the universe, any Hubert Reeves book. There are English translations but the original versions are in French.
For world politics: World Order by Henry Kissinger. I haven't read it, and I suspect it's as much about what to do as it is about what not to do, but I think it's a must-read nevertheless.
Sometimes it's not a particular book but a class of books:

Great question! This question hints at one possible answer to another question, which is: "why should I launch on PH?".
To come back to your question:
* Sell to businesses/entrepreneurs rather than consumers. PH is probably not the place for reaching consumers one by one, although word-of-mount can play a role.
* Try and show hard numbers about how what you are selling can grow your customers'...

Anyone can unsubscribe, so I'd say no, subscriptions are not a trap. The one exception is long contracts (2+ years, renewable), where the buyer can indeed feel trapped, and for good reason. Personally I think long contracts shouldn't be legal.
One great thing about subscriptions is financial predictability for the buyer and for the seller. For the Qworum.net PaaS that I'm launching here on...

With all the micro-SaaS proliferation, how many apps will employees be using?
According to a Gartner survey, the average employee was using about 11 applications 15 months ago.✤
11 already seems like a lot, but how much do you think has this number changed in the recent months? Unless I am mistaken, the micro-SaaS Cambrian explosion dates from after that survey.

I'll speak more based on my knowledge than my experience. I am assuming that by "CEO" you mean "(co-)founder and CEO", so what I'll say here won't apply to people who are employees, even if it's the top job. Also, by "her" I am assuming you mean "him or her".
My most important tip:
* Make sure you have a support network before starting off. For young founders that generally means attending...

If the product is really innovative, make the audience think: "Wow, I didn't know you could do that!"
If the product has direct competitors, make them think: "Look how easy it is to use!"

I'm distributing my software through Chrome Web Store which is free. Other services where I am on a free tier: Airtable for CRM etc, Netlify for web hosting. For marketing/sales I've used LinkedIn's Sales Navigator for a couple of months; this is a paid service that costs about $100 per month.

I haven't sold on AppSumo and I don't intend to, but this video says AppSumo can make sense for some:
https://youtu.be/QwQyw5R9ds0?si=...
I think people go there to find products that are sold below value. I don't think you can build a viable business if you are selling only on AppSumo, but AppSumo can nevertheless make sense for targeting low-income buyers.

In terms of social networks, Twitter/𝕏 is the place to be If you are into B2B software. To me YouTube is not a social network but rather a video publishing site, because very few YouTube visitors are also video publishers, but it can still be a worthwhile place to post.
You are right, publishing content can quickly become an exhausting activity. To me the way to get maximum results with your...

Upgrading the Web platform for next-gen applications
Hello Product Hunt,
I'm a software engineer and a software entrepreneur hailing from Geneva 🇨🇭. My quest to bring a Web-related deep-tech invention to market has brought me here.
True story:
There are things that applications can't do on the web, and I first noticed that when I tried to implement a web-based desktop system as an alternative to remote desktop solutions such as VNC. In...

I'd say follow your intuition if it's telling you to part with your CMMS business. You could sell it to:
* one of your customers, or
* a company that has an overlapping customer profile, for example a company that sells a complementary product or service, or even
* a direct competitor (as a last resort).
You could find buyers even if you don't have many paying customers, but then you'd have...

For B2B SaaS:
* On the business side, I'd say having deep connections within your industry can be a big help. Many of the IT unicorns (including the world's first B2B SaaS which I won't name here) were founded by ex-employees of big companies. Those connections can be very useful for top-line growth.
* On the technical side, I'd say application integration is a big issue, because even before...

Your post is one of the few on PH that are about PaaS.
My suggestion about positioning RocketGraph:
* If you are looking to find a good niche/positioning in an overcrowded market, then I'd say RocketGraph is suitable for developing Qworum.net applications and services. Perhaps that could help with growth.
Qworum is a PaaS for web frontends, it's a new type of PaaS that I'm launching here on...
