Hey everyone! I’m curious—when you’re watching a tutorial video, what’s your sweet spot for length? How long can a video be before it starts to lose your attention? Are there any specific elements that keep you engaged?

Hi Sıla, For me it's more about how you prioritise the things you have got to say rather than how long the video is. If you can show the application's main use case within the first 5 minutes, then you'll be OK. For example, if you are demoing an application, you may want to start by showing a core feature rather than how to configure the application (this means the application should have sensible defaults). The rest of the video can mention the "long tail" of application features, ordered by how frequently they are likely to be used by how many people. Be aware though that some people look at how long the video is before they even start to watch, and for that type of audience it might make sense to post a separate video of the first 5 minutes.
