I am currently a founder of a VC-backed startup and only recently joined Product Hunt. I joined to accomplish 3 things 1) Get closer to the new products coming to market 2) Open up the avenue of potentially launching a product on PH 3) Connect with like minded product enthusiasts through hearing thier stories I noticed quickly that one of the parts is missing in some of these forums..... the STORY! I would love to hear some of your backgrounds of how you all landed in the startup/entrepreneur space and hear your stories on what made you all so passionate about devoting yourself to a product.

I will go first: I was working at Microsoft before jumping into this new venture. To be honest, I was actually loving mytime in big tech, great benefits, smart people and a passionate environemnt. However, I didn't feel challenged. During the same time, I started investing in crypto as I had some spare capital laying around and fell 10 feet deep into the rabbithole. What I noticed quickly was the lack of actual product and more just hard marketing that was happening in the Web3 space. With a background in tech transformation and sales, I decided to join a group of my friends in starting a Web3 startup. We are now focused on building the best and most simple onboarding experience for people who wnat to get into the Web3 space. Why am I focusing on this area? I believe that everyone should have access to this ground breaking technology. It changed my life and opened up the doors to so many experiences and opportunities and I think it could do the same for many others. Long one... but would love to hear others tell their stories :)

Hello. Thanks for asking. - I am a social entrepreneur and innovator - My interests and professional pursuits have focused on improving conditions for trust in order to accelerate the volume, velocity, and value of transactions in order to help people and organizations prosper. - In 1991, I developed the world's first do-what-mean time and information manager, a natural language expert system for personal information management that allowed users to enter notes in a digital scratch pad and have automatically interpreted for their intended purpose and categorized for subsequent action, which was recognized by BYTE Magazine at the time. - I sold it successfully online on CompuServe before the WWW. That's when I realized the unprecedented power of the Internet for improving conditions for trust. - Those experiences and insights set me on a lifelong career focused on optimizing conditions for trust that ranged from cryptography to supply chain management to corporate governance. - My published research revealed that firm performance was correlated with conditions of trust created by corporate governance practices, which ultimately led to proposing a Humanistic Corporate Governance framework that empowers organizational stakeholders with a voice around the boardroom table in order to ensure that organizations (legal persons) serve the interests of natural persons. - This, combined with my work at PRESTO (Ontario's public transit fare payment system), intended to incentivize Ontario citizens to adopt a healthier lifestyle and the advent of blockchain technologies, I realized that we could use this technology help people be trusted by strangers and thereby gain easier access to global opportunities. - That was the stimulus for developing ReliablyME, a blockchain-enabled social credit system that recognizes people for their authentic self and social worth.
