Your New Perspectives From This Recent Quarter

In the second quarter of this year, what new perspective or perspectives did you gain? On my end, one big takeaway was the value of conscious listening. It's not necessarily the statement or even how the statement is said, but also what's underneath the statement. What about you? (On a related note to this topic, this is why books can be massive time-savers. If it takes you a day to read a book, but that book introduces to you a perspective that saves you a year of your life, you've won big. It's not about new information, but reflecting over your perspectives on life - plus the added bonus of practicing focus!)

Absolutely! In the past quarter, I gained a new perspective on the power of empathy. Really putting yourself in someone else's shoes and imagining how they feel, even if you disagree with them. It's not easy but can lead to much more constructive interactions and better mutual understanding. Books have been hugely valuable for gaining new perspectives too - there's so much wisdom and insight captured in them that can really shift how you see things if you reflect on it.

Oh, let me tell you! This quarter taught me that debugging code isn't just for computers - sometimes we need to debug our perspectives too! It's like finding that hidden semicolon in the code of life.
