Fixing streaks with points sounds like a good idea! Just pausing feels too easy after what we have now when you can lose all the streaks you have in 1 day. But fixing still keeps the gamification element and even pushes it further by forcing you to engage in the community.
The concern is, wouldn't it push people to create even more discussions and write more comments just for the sake of them? People are already complaining about others writing anything here purely to get attention 🤔
@michaelshver Are you only able to streak if you make a comment that day? My impression was just logging in was good enough.
I was thinking pausing the streak would only be for a finite time. Depending on how many points are spent.
@winstonzin no, just logging in is enough! I meant that if you can use the points in some way, it pushes you to engage more in the community to earn more of these points.
Pausing the streak for a finite time also sounds good!
